Watch for the Madeline Isaac-James 2011 Bridal Collection, featured in The Modern Bride Show at the fabulous ExCel, London this November.

With exquisite attention to detail, an eye toward vintage romance,  and a passion for sumptuous fabrics and design, the Madeline Isaac-James collection of exceptional bridal gowns has become a favourite of discerning brides-to-be (and a Kate favourite, too!)

The extensive line, currently consisting of Platinum, Silhouette, Maternity Bridal and the new 2011 Candlelit and Starlet Collections, is available from quality bridal retailers throughout the UK, and in select international locations.

Maybe you’d like to know a little bit about the brilliant British designer behind the glamorous label?

Her name is Natalie Gladman, and Natalie named the brand after her three lovely children.  Natalie is the fifth generation of her family to pursue a career in the garment industry!  Her great-great grandfather, a Master Tailor in Glasgow with a successful following, inspired the love and passion which led four future generations into the same business in one form or another.

Natalie fell in love with all things bridal as a child, beginning her first sketches about age five.  Natalie is entirely self-taught, with the natural ability to see elegant bridal gowns in her mind’s eye, then carefully follow them through to creation, always with a keen talent for setting bridal trends.

We love her designs because Natalie understands, as do we, that every wedding ceremony is very personal and from the heart.  That is why she ensures that all Madeline Isaac-James bridal gowns remain something to be admired, loved and cherished by many generations to come.

And remember - you have to see the exquisiteness up close to truly enjoy – at The Modern Bride Show in London – mark your calendar for November!

Wishing you the very best of wedding dreams,

Are you serving wine with your celebration?  Make sure to have a few extra on hand to use in the bottles at the table – they make quite the conversation piece – so sparkly!

Or mix and match it up a bit (creates quite the fun buzz at the table) by also using these complementary wedding favours:

Winter Wedding Tips

Don’t count winter out when it comes to staggeringly beautiful wedding ceremonies.  Oh don’t get us wrong – summer is wonderful, with blue skies and flowers and all the outdoor glory you could possibly want for a celebration!  But with a winter wedding, well – you get to set your own divine, intimate, sparkling atmosphere.  Some tips for you winter wonderland bridies:

  • It’s cold outside! Buffer the blustery and warm the mood with candles, lots and lots of candles!
  • Think sparkle (like snow when it first falls).  “Rhinestones and crystals shimmer and glimmer” should be your mantra.
  • Favour the fireplace – the bigger the better.  An inn, castle, or historic landmark with a gigantic, roaring fireplace as its centerpiece will give your wedding that warm, intimate feeling on a cold winter day.
  • Serve a signature cocktail with toasty twist.  Consider eggnog or spiced wine for starters.

Take advantage of the season when you plan the menu and the decorations.  Commission an ice sculpture as a dramatic centerpiece.  Then warm things up with a grand pumpkin soup, or fabulous stuffed winter squashes passed around on a silver platter before the meal.

Save on exquisite winter in-season flowers.  Roses are always in-season, so seek out some Dusty Miller or silvery eucalyptus, and add dried seed pods and winter berries to the mix or consider succulents for something different – dust with sparkle powder or add some crystals and voila!  Shimmering winter beauty!

Happy Winter Planning!
